Our Expert Guide will take us on an exciting two-day journey to explore the beautiful landscapes Mascardi Lake. This is sure to be an unforgettable adventure in Patagonia.
We'll begin our journey by getting acquainted with our kayaks and the rest of the group, while we pack up all our equipment,
Mascardi Lake empties its waters into the Manso River Basin, which flows to the Pacific Ocean. Additionally, this body of water is fed by Castaño Overo Glacier's thawing ice. Castaño Overo Glacier forms part of Mount Tronador (3,500 meters above sea level), and marks the border with neighboring Chile.
As we row along the stunning shore surrounded by steep hills and native forests, we'll reach the Tronador Branch where awe-inspiring views of Tronador await us. Next, we'll head towards our second camp: Los Rapidos, named due to its location in front of the fast rapids at the mouth of Manso River.
On the morning of the second day, we'll paddle near the coast where we can admire lush native forests and rumbling glaciers as they make their way across the ice field. This magical adventure will be accompanied by birds, trout, and a variety of other local wildlife, as we glide through the crystal clear lake.
Soon, we will have made our way around the entirety of the lake, and will begin paddling back to our landing point.
Join us for a unique experience, exploring landscapes inaccessible to the common traveler!
