Our Expert Guides will take you on a thrilling journey across the Andes on horseback, retracing the paths ancient herdsman traveled from Portillo Argentino to Piuquenes Pass. Immersed in the incredible landscapes and local culture, we'll cross the Andes into Chile, following the same path General San Martin and Charles Darwin took.

You will experience traveling on horseback, the Gaucho's traditional mode of transportation, which allows you to enjoy a unique week long adventure. Leave behind the hustle and bustle of daily life, and delight in the slow rhythm of nature as you marvel at breathtaking views of the Andes Mountains.

Beginning in Tunuyán, Mendoza, we'll spend two days climbing to Portillo Argentino, a narrow passageway at an altitude of 4,380 meters, with incomparable views of the Central Andes. Crossing this pass, we'll descend towards the Tunuyán Valley, a paradise full of wild life in the heart of the mountains.

This tour will give us the unique opportunity to observe native flora and fauna, which will keep us company on our solitary, yet peaceful, journey. We'll climb Piuquenes Pass (4,030 m), which marks the border between Argentina and Chile. From there, we will begin our descent towards Plomo River. In Chile, a vehicle awaits us to take us to Cajón del Maipo for some well-deserved rest and relaxation.
