At more than 2,600 meters above sea level, this old mining settlement was founded in the seventeenth century by Spanish conquistadors and Jesuits in search of minerals. It was them who named the place "Paramillos" meaning "little desolate place".
During this excursion, we'll visit the former mining town's buildings, while discovering its hidden corners, filled with centuries-old tales and legends. We'll explore one level of the mine, known as "Sauce", familiarizing ourselves with the different types of exploitation miners once used. Here, you'll also be able to observe streaks of various minerals and elements on the cave walls.
To top off our entertaining excursion, you'll enjoy a delicious traditional "Asado Mendocino" where you'll delight in sampling a variety of savory BBQ dishes at the town's post, sure to be a memorable gastronomic experience.
