Our Expert Guide will take you on an exciting adventure along the legendary Route 40 in Salta. National Route 40 has a prominent place among the 10 most memorable roads in the world due to it's stunning landscapes and the extensive territory it covers.
We will begin by touring Lerma Valley and the towns of Cerrillos, Merced, Carril, and Chicoana. All of these villages dedicate themselves to agriculture, and above all, tobacco production. Here, you'll explore plantations and learn about the interesting local culture.
We'll then climb Obisbo Hill to reach Los Cardones National Park, which is home to a wide variety of cactus. At the park, we'll enjoy a snack before continuing to the old village of Cachi, where we'll visit its museum and church.
The mythical Route 40 will take us on a breathtaking journey through the captivating formations of Quebrada de las Flechas, and through the towns of Molinosl, Angastaco, and San Carlos, before finally arriving in Cafayate. We'll set out on a mountainous road as we cruise past Conchas River and delve deeper into the Quebrada del Cafayate, all while admiring the beautifully colorful scenery.
