Our Expert Guide will take you on a full-day excursion, exploring the northern and central sections of the mythical island of Chiloé. We'll set out sailing through the Chacao Channel for about 30 minutes, as we observe a large variety of birds and sea lions all around us. Upon arrival in the village of Chacao, we'll take some time to visit the picturesque town square and local church.
Next, we'll head towards Ancud to stroll through its market, craft fair, and visit the famous San Antonio Fort where we'll listen to fascinating stories about the Spanish colonization. Afterwards, we'll go to the Friends of Chiloé's Churches Foundation where we'll participate in an educational talk (optional) on World Heritage churches.
Once we have learned a bit more about the history of his interesting island, we'll head to Castro where you'll be able to see the amazing stilt houses of Gamboa. Here, we will also have time to visit the town square, church, and delight in a delicious local lunch. After lunch, we'll take the beautiful coastal road to Dalcahue where we will visit its dazzling waterfront, market, craft fair, and impressive church.
