Our Expert Guides will lead you to enjoy a fascinating tour of the most impressive churches in Southern Chile.
From Ancud, we will begin by exploring Dalcahue and visiting the first church in the area to be declared a World Heritage Site, built in 1902. We will also wander through the village's handicraft fair to buy souvenirs and meet the locals. Afterwards, we'll cross the canals to explore Quinchao Island and the oldest church in Chile, built in 1730.
Next, we'll enjoy a city tour of Achao and Mirador La Paloma, from where we will marvel at views of the archipelago and stunning mountain backdrop. We will then continue to Curaco de Vélez before returning to Castro to visit its stilt houses, San Francisco Church, waterfront, and handicraft fair.
Finally, we will venture to Nercón, where we'll discover the Nuestra Señora de Gracia de Nercón Church, built in 1888. This church is remarkably still standing despite the fact that not a single nail was used to secure its wooden boards.
