Our Expert Guides will lead us to discover Chiloé, the second largest island in South America, where we will take a ferry to cross the Chacao channel (30 minutes). Upon arrival, we will visit Ancud, famous all over Chile for its ancient fortress and local seafood, making a traditional seafood lunch at a local restaurant a must-do! We will also have the opportunity to visit the local markets selling excellent wool products and traditional local craft.
Afterwards, we'll visit the Islets of Punuhuil Natural Monument. This is the only place in Chile where, from October to March, two species of penguins’ appear to nest: the Magellanic and Humboldt. We will have the unique opportunity to observe penguins, sea otters (chungungos), sea lions, and local native birds.
