Our Expert Guides will take you on a trip through the fjords close to Puerto Montt, on an unforgettable journey kayaking along rivers which criss-cross the South of Chile, in a magical place where the land is fragmented into thousands of islands and fjords, which we call Patagonia. We will camp in ancient forests and see spectacular sunrises immersed in nature - a truly unforgettable experience!
The first day we’ll assemble our camp at Cholgo where we’ll have our first technical talk on rowing and paddling, easing our way into Llacahue to practice. The stunning views of the Yates and Machimahuida Volcanoes will accompany us on the second day, in addition to the Ulmo forests and the entrance of the Quintamepu fjord, which is the first fjord that we’ll have the privilege of seeing during this trip. Also, if you feel like fishing, there’s the possibility of going fly-fishing on the river (fishing equipment not included).
On the third day we will see some dolphins swimming alongside us as we reach the Cahuelmo fjord, next to the imposing walls of granite and the idyllic thermal baths on the beach shore. This fjord is noted for its variety of birds, where it is possible to spot different species of cormorants, the Martín Pescador and many others.
The fourth day we will go to the Comau fjord, crossing it towards the West Bank, which will take us through amazing landscapes of native forests, waterfalls and glaciers, and finally to meet local settlers who will welcome us with organic products and traditional local food such as Curanto or roasted lamb.
During the fifth day we will trek to the geysers, an excellent way to get our legs moving, while marveling at native forest and impressive geysers immersed in the middle of the forest. From our camp, we will walk along on a wonderful path which runs along a stunning river that will accompany us the entire way. The trail has many bridges and fixed ropes for ascending and descending canyons. At the end we will reach a large river pool where sulfur causes water vapor to eject from the ground in an impressive geyser display.
On the last day, we will take a three hour boat back to where we will unload our kayaks.
Join us on a trip discovering incredible landscapes that have been kept intact throughout the passage of time!
Note: High difficulty.
