Our Expert Guides will lead you to discover the wonders of the city of Porvenir, visiting the Provincial Museum Fernando Cordero Rusque, Plaza Selknam, Plaza de Armas, the Costanera and Selknam Monument, and finally King Penguin Park, about 120 km southwest of Porvenir in Bahia Inútil.
At the park, you will be surrounded by green pastures and an extensive horizon which joins the Strait of Magellan and the southern sky. Here, you will observe small penguins, only about 90 centimeters tall, waddling through the magnificent landscapes. These impressive creatures boast a beautiful coloring which includes bright shades of yellow on their necks and heads.
These are the second biggest penguins in the world after the Emperor Penguin (Aptenodytes Fosteri). It is in this location that the King Penguins (Aptenodytes Patagonicus), have begun nesting, and consequently, have become a novelty for Tierra del Fuego's inhabitants, as well as tourists, who visit the park each year.
