Our Expert Guides will lead you on challenging, yet highly rewarding, 6-day trek along the Condor Circuit, one of the best hiking locations in the world!
This route is known for its variety of landscapes, making it one of kind. You'll explore the Altos de Lircay and Siete Tazas National Park Reserve, while crossing the mountains, forests, dry lava rivers, volcanic rock dunes, oasis, volcanoes, and much more.
During our hike, we'll be assisted by pack horses who will carry our backpacks, lightening your load dramatically.
We will begin our journey by traveling from Santiago to Altos de Lircay Reserve. From the trailhead we will be immersed in a wide variety of hundred year old Nothofagus forests. In autumn we'll be able to see the forest leaves tinged with deep reds and yellows that make the landscape even more beautiful.
On the morning of the second day we'll see a breathtaking view of Descabezado Grande surrounded by lava fields and beautiful forests. Here, in 1933 there was a major volcanic eruption, which produced so much ash that it was able to cross the Atlantic Ocean and reach South Africa. We will also explore the ancient Cordillera Cypresses, the magnificent "Despalmado" Waterafall, and test your spirit of adventure during a river crossing.
The next day you will notice our landscapes changing dramatically. We'll leave the forests and enter lava fields full of volcanic stone dunes, as well as stunning lakes surrounded by towering mountains. At the end of the day we will enjoy a well deserved rest in some amazing natural hot springs, with stunning views of the volcano and valley.
During day 4, we'll continue crossing impressive volcanic sand dunes at an altitude of 2,500 meters. These dunes cross streams that give life to beautiful flowers and reeds, creating a real oasis. Depending on the time of year, some dunes may be covered with snow. We'll end our day in the Sulphur Hot Springs.
For our second to last day, we'll enjoy spectacular views of glacier-covered mountains and green oasis amid contrasting white volcanic sand dunes, as we descend to the lake where we will set up our next camp site.
Finally, on our sixth and last day, we'll enter 7 Tazas National Park, discovering the wonderful nothofagus forest. Stunning views of the mountains and numerous breathtaking waterfalls will be waiting for us on this day.
Join us for a one of a kind adventure exploring the raw landscapes of Chile's most incredible natural wonders.
