Our Expert Mountain Guides will take you on a journey into the unknown (or at least the little known) mountains between Chile and Argentina to discover amazing landscapes, glaciers, and untouched natural beauty. This 8 day journey, trek, and mountainous adventure is not for the novice, as you will be walking in crampons at all times. For those who are up for the challenge, the reward of successfully reaching the summit will be beyond fulfilling!
The snowy hills of Piuquenes, Mesón San Juan (in Argentina), and Pirámide, are all located on the border between Chile and Argentina. On top of these mountain peaks both Argentina and Chile share flags, thus symbolizing a point of inflection between the two countries. Towards the East, we will see the wide Argentinian valleys, while towards the West, we will see the narrow mountain valleys of Chile.
These mountains are located in a largely unexplored area within the central Chilean mountain range. Around them, we will see Mount Trono, Alto San Juan, and Alto del Yeso; where beautiful glaciers drop from their peaks.
Join us on an adventure into the unknown, atop glorious mountain ranges that share their spectacular views only with the clouds. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see Chile's stunning nature in all its glory - while challenging yourself to reach the top of the peaks!
Note: High difficulty 5/5. You must walk in crampons. Physical fitness to endure long hikes and altitude are required.
