You'll learn the entire process of making the so-called "black gold", as we explore the area's coffee communities, play "tejo" with the locals, admire amazing native cave paintings, and taste some of the smoothest coffee in the world.
We'll leave the city of Bogotá through the working-class neighborhoods, where you will get to see a different side of town, often invisible to the eyes of tourists. Once outside, we'll cross the mountainous region to get to our first stop, Silvania, a city built by coffee settlers in 1900.
We'll visit the coffee farms walking along narrow paths and discovering the Colombian countryside. On the farm, our guide will explain the step by step process of growing coffee, and you will have the chance to actively participate in all of the processes. Afterwards, we will delight in a delicious lunch, and test your hand at "tejo", an ancient game that has become the favorite of local farmers.
