Our Expert Guides will take you on an incredible tour boating around Fúquene Lagoon, learning the techniques of the local craftsmen, and wandering through natural forests.
We will start early in the morning and head towards Ubaté, a traditional village where you can visit the beautiful cathedral and taste some of its famous dairy products. We will then continue to the lagoon where you will have the opportunity to participate in a workshop with local artisans who will teach you how to create crafts from cane and reeds. During this workshop, the instructors will tell you their stories, teach you about their lifestyle, and share how they've learned to use natural resources to create magical works of art.
After the workshop, you'll be able to buy handicrafts made by the locals before heading out to enjoy a traditional rural lunch (not included).
Our last activity of the day will be a boat tour through the lagoon alongside local fishermen. You will have the opportunity to observe the native and migratory birds that live in the area, while learning about the region's flora and fauna. We will finish the tour with a short walk that will give us an amazing 360° view of the island.
Join us to enjoy a journey immersed in Colombia's stunning countryside and local traditions!
