Our Expert Guide will take you on an adventurous hiking excursion discovering the amazing landscapes and wildlife of Peru's Colca Canyon. Colca Canyon is a river canyon located in southern Peru and is famous for being one of the biggest and deepest in the world, as well as for being one of the majestic condor's few remaining natural habitats.
As we set out on our journey, you'll be immersed in the otherworldly landscapes of the canyon, exploring green valleys full of grazing native vicuñas, and discovering remote traditional villages with pre-Inca terraced agriculture. As we delve deeper into this spectacular natural setting, you'll get a closer look at the dazzling Colca River, with its rushing white waters, making it a popular spot for rafting.
We will soon arrive at the awe-inspiring Cruz del Condor, which is the ideal place to observe and admire magnificent condors, which were representative of the "upper world" in Inca culture. Here, we will spend some time taking postcard perfect photos, admiring the sights from above, and absorbing the remarkable views.
For the night, we will be able to rest, relax, and recover in a marvelous oasis, made up of bamboo bungalows, refreshing swimming pools, and swaying palm trees, all surrounded by the Colca River. While at the oasis, we'll enjoy a delicious local dinner as we watch the day turn into night. Being free from all light pollution, the night sky in Colca Canyon is an impressive show. You will marvel at stars and constellations while immersing yourself in the myths, mysteries, and beliefs that surround them, dating back to the ancient Andean inhabitants.
Join us on this once in a lifetime expedition, enjoying spectacular panoramas, observing majestic condors, and exploring rural villages, allowing you to gain insight on the lives of Colca Canyon's inhabitants while venturing along Pre-Inca and Inca routes.
