Our Expert Guides will take you on an exciting journey through the towering mountains of Cusco, on the way to Machu Picchu.
We will visit the town of Mollepata, 2,900 meters above sea level and from where you will have the first and most incredible views the majestic Salkantay, as well as other snow covered mountains and the Apurimac River Valley. We'll walk towards the village of Soraypampa, at 3,850 meters above sea level and enjoy our first night camping under stars.
We'll walk through a place called Pampas Salkantay where we will reach the highest point of our journey, a peak of 4,600 meters above sea level. Here you'll see spectacular views of the mountains, the snowy peaks and Salkantay - an incredible 6,264 meters above sea level and known as Cusco's second highest peak.
We will also visit the town of Collpabamba where waterfalls, trees flowered in fruit, and diverse flora and fauna fill every corner. From here, we'll resume a more traditional path, until we arrive at Aguas Calientes where we'll begin the journey up to Machu Picchu.
Machu Picchu, the great masterpiece of architecture and engineering, will be our grand finale. From this amazing spot, we'll be able to admire the beauty of mother nature, history and culture of the Incas and their legacy, and learn about the conservation issues it has faced in the past.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to explore the spectacular beauty of Cusco.
